How a local business woman adopted a closed toilet block
Chloe Pavely decided the council’s closure of a toilet block near her cafe in Brixham, Devon, was a minor inconvenience.
So she adopted it and thanks to support from locals the toilet is still giving relief to passers-by at Fishcombe Cove.
‘Living the dream and that includes looking after the toilet block’
The toilet was one of three closed this year by Torbay Council which said it was spending £2m upgrading others in the area.
The BTA board has acknowledged this fantastic commitment and is considering awarding Chloe a special certificate of thanks and appreciation of the efforts that she is making to help residents and visitors to find much needed comfort and relief whilst enjoying Fishcombe Cove.
